At Gorilla Doctors, every day is a Gorilla Day – every day, we are reminded of the majesty of these incredible animals, and feel privileged to be able to contribute to their conservation. But it was particularly fun to join YOU in the global celebration of World Gorilla Day on September 24. Whether you simply shared World Gorilla Day on social media, purchased limited edition t-shirts through float.org, or donated to Gorilla Doctors, you too contributed to saving the lives of endangered mountain and Grauer’s gorillas in Uganda, Rwanda and the DR Congo. Thank you!

And a special thanks to Creative Liaisons’ London International Awards (LIA) for helping spread the word about Gorilla Doctors to more than 90,000 folks worldwide, and for choosing Gorilla Doctors for their LIA competition. Last weekend, Drs. Mike and Kirsten flew to Las Vegas to help judge this international competition for young and upcoming creatives in the advertising world who pitched ideas for building brand-awareness and support for Gorilla Doctors. This was an opportunity made possible by 60 Minutes news correspondent Lara Logan, who recommended Gorilla Doctors to LIA as one of the non-profit causes she most admires. Thank you Lara!
