As 2015 comes to a close, we would like to thank our entire Gorilla Doctors team for its hard work and dedication to the conservation of wild eastern gorillas. Gorilla Doctors’ work has been vital in bringing mountain gorillas back from the brink of extinction. Since January 1, our team has:

• – Conducted more than 40 clinical interventions to treat gravely ill and injured mountain and Grauer’s gorillas;
• – Trekked more than 380 times into the forest to check on the health of gorillas or respond to official reports of illness or injury; and
• – Ensured that more than 2,600 men and women who work tirelessly to protect gorillas in their forest homes, and their family members, received preventive medicine.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to you, our supporters, for following our work throughout the year. We hope you have enjoyed our blog posts and newsletters, and we look forward to bringing you more stories, profiles and news in 2016.
